Designs That Don't Wear Out
Rocks and decorative pebbles are a smart investment in both function and appearance. They’re durable, weather-resistant, and require virtually no upkeep—making them perfect for mulching alternatives, erosion control, garden beds, and even drainage zones. We stock polished pebbles, river stones, crushed rock, volcanic scoria, quartz, and more in a range of textures and tones.
Whether you're after a crisp, modern look or something more natural and rustic, there’s a product to suit your needs and budget. Better yet, they don’t break down or blow away like bark mulch—saving you time on maintenance.

What are decorative pebbles used for in landscaping?
Decorative pebbles are commonly used to enhance garden beds, line pathways, fill in around stepping stones, and create dry creek beds or feature areas. They’re also popular around water features and in zen-style gardens. Their durability and range of colours make them a low-maintenance alternative to organic mulch. Pebbles help suppress weeds, improve drainage, and reduce soil erosion while giving your garden a clean, finished look that lasts for years without fading or breaking down.
Do decorative rocks help with drainage?
Yes, many decorative rocks—such as river pebbles, crushed rock, and scoria—can help improve drainage in garden beds, pathways, and around buildings. Because they don’t compact or break down, water flows freely between them, preventing pooling and reducing surface runoff. They’re often used in conjunction with drainage pipes or geotextile fabric to manage excess water while still maintaining a tidy, attractive surface.
What's the difference between pebbles and gravel?
While both are types of stone, pebbles are typically smoother and more rounded, often used for decorative finishes. Gravel tends to have a more angular shape and is commonly used as a compactable base for construction, paving, or driveways. Pebbles are better for visible areas where appearance matters, while gravel is favoured for structural and functional uses. That said, some gravel varieties also look great when used decoratively, especially in modern landscaping designs.
